01. BROTHER DCP-8080DN INSTALLATION

Unpacking and setting up the Brother DCP-8080DN printer for the first time

Step 1: Unpacking the printer

Unpack the product box.
Check to make sure that the following components are provided inside the box: Brother DCP-8080DN printer, drum-unit assembly, CD-ROMS (Windows & Mac), Product registration sheet (the USB only), AC power cord, quick setup guide, user’s guide, and accessory order form.
Now, place the printer on a table or a surface where you can use it comfortably.
Remove all the packing materials from your printer.
Place the unpacked printer on a neat surface and go to the next step of the setup.

Step 2: Installing the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly

Initially, make sure that the interface cable is not connected to your printer.

Five easy steps to unpack and set up your Brother DCP-8085DN printer

Step 1: Unpacking the printer

Open the product box.
Make sure that the Brother DCP-8085DN printer and its components such as power cord, quick setup guide, user guide, accessory order form, drum unit assembly, etc., are provided.
Now, gently remove the packing materials and tapes from your printer.
While removing the packing tapes, make sure that they are removed without damaging the printer parts.

Move the blue width guides to the edges of the tray.
Get a stack of plain paper that is recommended by the printer manufacturer.

Make sure that the paper is loaded only to its maximum limit mark.
Adjust the width guides properly.
Place the tray back into your printer.
Open the output tray.
Now, release the scanner lock by pushing the lever.
