01. Installation of Brother MFC-L2700DW

Unboxing and setting up the Brother MFC-L2700DW printer for the first time

Unboxing the product

  • Open the product box.
  • Now, check whether all the components are present inside the box.
  • If yes, begin the printer setup.
  • Otherwise, contact your dealer or manufacturer to get the missing component.

Unpacking the printer

  • Remove all the packing materials from the printer.
  • Open the front cover of your printer.
  • Take the drum unit out of the printer.
  • Now, unpack the starter toner cartridge and install it in the drum unit.
  • Place the drum unit back into the printer.

Loading paper

  • Pull out the paper tray from the printer.
  • Based on the paper type you’re loading, align the width guides of the tray.
  • Load paper into the tray and adjust the guides properly.
  • Make sure that you have not overloaded the paper in the tray.
  • Place the tray back into the printer.

Turning on the printer

  • Using the printer’s power cord, connect it to an active power outlet.
  • Now, press the Power button.
  • Wait for the printer to become stable.
  • Once it is done, configure the initial settings on your printer.

Loading paper

  • Align the width guides correctly.

  • Load the paper in the tray and adjust the width guides properly.
  • Place the tray back into the printer.

Turning on the printer

  • Connect your printer to an electrical outlet using its power cord.
  • Turn on the printer by pressing its Power button.

Configuring the fax settings
