01. First Time Installation Of Canon PIXMA MG3620

Unpacking and setting up your canon mg3620 wireless setup for the first time

Brief note:

Before you begin the printer setup, make sure that it is unpacked completely and ready for the setup process. Turn on the printer. Install the standard ink cartridges into their slots. Load a stack of plain or photo paper into the printer’s paper tray. Finally, install the Canon PIXMA MG3620 printer software on your computer to finish the setup.

Step 1: Unpacking the printer

Begin the setup process by unpacking your Canon PIXMA MG3620 printer. If your printer is already unpacked, skip the following instructions and begin the setup process from step 2.

  • Open your printer box.
  • Remove the components placed on the top of the printer.
  • Now, gently take the printer out of the box.
  • Remove the protective tapes, foreign objects and other packing materials from your printer.
  • Place the unpacked printer on a neat surface.
  • Recycle the packing materials properly.

Step 2: Turning on the printer

  • Get the power cord of your printer that was shipped along with the box.
  • Now, using the cord, connect your printer to an active power outlet. (Note: Avoid using a surge protector or an external adapter for connectivity).
  • On the printer’s control panel, press the ON button to turn it on.
  • Wait for your printer to complete its initial boot-up process.
  • Once the initial boot-up process is completed by the printer, go to the next step of the setup.

  • Locate the cartridge access door inside the printer and open it.

Step 4: Loading paper

  • Open the input tray.
  • Get a stack of plain or photo paper as per your preferences.
  • Place the paper with its print-side facing down in the tray.
  • Load the paper up to the maximum limit mark.
  • Adjust the width guides properly. Close the tray.
  • Open the paper output tray of your printer.

Step 5: Connecting the printer to your computer or smartphone

For computer

  • Go to your Canon printer’s official setup page.
  • Click the Set Up button.
  • If prompted, choose your current place of residence and region.
  • Select your printer from the list.
  • Click the button named “Connection to Computer, Smartphone or Tablet.”
  • Choose your OS if necessary.
  • Click Download.
  • Wait for the setup file to download.
  • Once it is downloaded, open it and click on the Start Setup button.
  • When prompted, choose the connection type as per your preferences.
  • Install the printer software to complete the setup process.

Step 1: Unpacking the printer

  • Begin with unpacking your printer.
  • Look for the packing materials, foreign particles and orange tape in the important parts of your printer and remove them carefully.
  • When removing the protective materials from the scanner unit and inside the printer, make sure that they are removed carefully without damaging any of the printer parts.
  • After unpacking your printer completely, place it closer to an electrical outlet that you’re going to use and go to the next step of the setup.

Step 2: Turning on your printer

  • Plug the power cord’s one end to an active power outlet.
  • Connect the cord’s other end to your printer.
  • Now, on the printer’s control panel, locate and press the ON button.
  • Wait for the printer to become stable. Once it becomes idle, the screen prompting you to choose the basic printer settings will open.

Step 3: Installing the FINE ink cartridges

  • Check to ensure that your Canon PIXMA TS5320 printer is turned on.

  • Open the ink cartridge covers.
  • Get the FINE ink cartridges that are shipped along with the printer.
  • Remove the protective tapes from the cartridges.
  • Insert the unpacked color cartridge in the left holder and the black cartridge in the right holder of the print head.
  • Close the cartridge covers.
  • Lower the scanner unit of your printer.

Step 4: Loading paper

  • If you find the message “Start alignment to improve print quality” on your printer screen, then press Yes and start loading paper into the cassette.
  • Take the paper cassette out of your printer.
  • Adjust the width guides based on the paper type that you’re loading.
  • Load the paper with its print-side facing down in the cassette.
  • Place the cassette back into your Canon printer.
  • Open the paper output tray of your printer.
  • Press the OK button.
  • Complete the alignment process on your printer by following the instructions displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Installing the printer on your computer or smartphone

For computer

  • On the Canon PIXMA TS5320 printer’s setup screen, click the Set Up button.
  • If prompted, choose your printer.
  • Click Go > Start > Connect > Download.
  • Once your printer’s setup file is downloaded, run it on your computer.
  • Click the button named Start Setup on the main screen of the installation.
