This printer’s installation is easy and includes simple steps. Using the driver, you can establish communication between your printer and computer. Before installing your printer on your computer, you need to complete the hardware setup of your printer. Now, execute the below instructions to finish your printer installation.

UNBOXING AND HARDWARE SETUP:

Contents inside the box:

• Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer
• Setup Guide
• Ink Cartridges
• Power Cord

Make sure that all the contents are available inside the box.

Unpacking the printer:

• Open the box and take the power cord and the ink cartridges from the package.
• Next, remove the remaining contents from the box.
• Now, gently lift the printer from the package.
• Discard the foam packing materials.
• Take out the printer from the plastic cover.
• Next, remove all the protective tapes from the outside of the printer.
• Open the scanner unit and discard all of the orange protective tapes.
• You can now close the scanner unit of your Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer.

Connecting the power cord:

• Plug the power cord into the rear section of the printer. Plug the other end into a wall socket.
• Turn on your printer.
• Choose your language and tap Yes and OK on your printer’s control panel.
• Next, select your country/region and tap OK.

Installing the ink cartridges:

• Open the scanner unit.
• Uncover one of the ink cartridges from the package and then discard the protective tapes.
• Remove the orange cap.
• Insert the ink cartridge into its slot.
• Follow the same procedure to insert all the other ink cartridges into the Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer.
• Finally, close the scanner unit.

Loading the paper:

• Press OK on the printer’s control panel to start loading the paper.
• Remove the paper cassette from your printer and slide the paper width guide to its extreme ends.
• Next, load a stack of fanned and aligned paper into the cassette.
• Adjust the paper width guide to the edges of the stack.
• Attach the cassette cover.
• Insert the paper cassette into the printer and pull out the paper output tray.
• Go to the printer’s control panel and press OK to print the alignment pattern so that you can finish the alignment process.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION:

• Visit your printer’s official support page to download and install the driver for your printer on the computer.
• On the printer support page, input your printer name in the search bar at the top of the page.
• In the next window, choose your device name from the list.
• Select your printer’s model number from the list.
• In the window that’s displayed, click the Drivers & Downloads button at the top.
• Under the Drivers & Downloads category, choose your operating system with the version from the drop-down list. Then, select your language.
• Now, navigate to your Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer’s downloaded driver file on your computer. Click on the Select button located straight to it.
• Click the Download button below the chosen driver file. The driver for your printer will start to download on your computer.
• Once the downloading is over, open the file to begin the installation process.
• Click Start Setup in the window that displays.
• Click the Yes button to accept the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT.
• Just perform the rest of the on-screen prompts to finish the Canon PIXMA TR7020 driver installation.

WI-FI SETUP:

CANON PIXMA TR7020:

• Make sure to turn on your printer.
• Select Menu and press the OK button on the printer's control panel.
• Choose the LAN settings option and press OK.
• Select the Wi-Fi option from the list and press the OK button.
• Choose Wi-Fi setup and press OK on the Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer’s control panel.
• Next, select the Manual Connect option from the list and press the OK button.
• Now, the printer will search for the nearby wireless networks. Choose your Wi-Fi network name from the available list and press OK.
• Input your network password and press the Start button.
• After connecting, press the OK button on the printer’s control panel.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

NOT PRINTING:

“Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer not printing” is a common problem that may occur due to connectivity issues, unwanted print jobs, and the printer may not be set as default, etc. Perform the below instructions to solve the issue.

Check the connectivity:

• Make sure that the power cable is connected to the rear of your printer and the electrical outlet.
• Ensure to power on your printer.
• If you have connected your printer and computer using a USB cable, check if the cable is connected firmly at both the ends. 
• In case there’s a problem with the USB cable, replace it.
• If you use a Wi-Fi network, ensure that the printer and your computer are connected to the same network.
• Now, ensure that the Canon PIXMA TR7020 printer is printing properly.
• If it doesn’t print, then follow the below instructions.

Set the printer as the default machine:

• Click the Start menu on your computer and open the Control Panel window.
• Click on the Devices and Printers option.
• If you see any copy of your Canon printer icon, just right-click on it and select the Delete or Remove device option from the menu list.
• Now, again right-click on your printer icon and select the Set as default printer option.
• Check whether the printer is printing correctly.

Confirm that all the contents are available inside the printer box.

UNPACKING THE PRINTER:

• First, open the printer box.
• Next, take out the power cord. Remove the ink cartridges from the package.
• Next, remove the setup guide and the telephone cord from the box.
• Lift your Canon printer from the package.
• Discard all of the foam packing materials and also uncover the printer from the plastic cover.
• It is mandatory to remove and dispose all the protective tapes around the printer.
• Now, open the scanner unit. Next, discard the orange protective tapes.
• Close the scanner unit of your Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer.

CONNECTING THE POWER CORD:

• Connect the power cable to the rear section of the printer. Now, just plug the other end into an electrical socket.
• Now, turn on your Canon printer.
• Access the printer’s control panel and select your language.
• Now, go ahead and choose your country/region.
• Tap OK.

INSTALLING THE INK CARTRIDGES:

• The very first step is to open the scanner unit of the printer.
• Remove one of the ink cartridges from the printer package and then take out the protective tapes from the cartridge.
• Hold the cartridge and remove the orange cap.
• It is now time to insert the ink cartridge into the respective slot.
• Make sure that the ink cartridge is installed correctly in its place.
• Now, just carry out the above steps to insert the remaining ink cartridges into the Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer.
• Close the scanner unit.

INSERTING THE PAPER:

• Pull the paper cassette completely out from the printer.
• Take off the cassette cover.
• Now, slide the paper width guide as far as possible.
• Next, align the sheets of a stack of paper.
• Load the stack into the cassette.
• Now, adjust the paper width guides such that they touch the edges of the stack and attach the cassette cover.
• You can now insert the paper cassette back into the printer. Pull out the paper output tray and the extension from your Canon printer.

ALIGNING THE PRINTHEAD:

• Go to the Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer’s control panel and tap OK to print the alignment pattern.
• Now, open the scanner lid.
• Load the printed alignment pattern with the print side down on the scanner glass.
• Close your scanner lid and tap OK on the printer’s control panel.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.

SOFTWARE INSTALLATION:

• If you have the driver installation CD, insert it into the computer’s CD-ROM drive and start the installation process.
• Now, perform the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation on your computer.
• If you don’t have the installation CD, go to the printer’s official support page to download and install the driver for your Canon Pixma TR7520 printer on the computer.
• On the support page, type your printer name in the search bar at the top of the page, or you can browse the printer model name by selecting the Printers section from the Product Type.
• In the next window, choose your device name from the menu list.
• Now, pick your printer’s model number from the list.
• In the following window, click on the Drivers & Downloads button.
• On the screen that opens next, choose your operating system along with its version from the drop-down menu.
• Pick your language.
• Now, choose your Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer’s driver file and click on the Select button placed straight to it. Click Download below the selected driver file.
• Now, the driver will start to download on your computer.
• Go to the Downloads folder on your computer.
• Now, you have to double-click the setup file to begin the installation process.
• Carry out the on-screen instructions till you get to the License Agreement screen.
• Click the Yes button to accept the END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT.
• Complete the remaining on-screen prompts to finish your printer driver installation.

WI-FI SETUP

CANON PIXMA TR7520:

• Turn on your printer.
• Make sure that the wireless router/access point is ready to connect.
• Now, tap the Wi-Fi icon on the Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer’s control panel.
• Select the LAN settings button and tap on the Wireless LAN option from the list.
• Next, tap the Wireless LAN setup option.
• Now, tap on the WPS (Push button method) option from the list and select OK.
• Now, you’ll have to press and hold the WPS button on the router/access point.
• Now, go to the printer’s control panel and tap OK.
• After connecting your printer to the Wi-Fi network, tap OK on the printer’s screen.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

CANON PIXMA TR7520:

If your Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer is offline, follow the below instructions to solve the issue.

Delete all the print jobs:

• Launch the printer software on your computer.
• Click on the Display Send Queue button from the right side of the window.
• Now, all the print jobs assigned to your printer will appear on the screen.
• Next, select all the print jobs and click Cancel from the Document option.
• When a confirmation message appears on the screen, click on the Yes button to delete all the print jobs on your computer.
• Now, check whether your Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer is back in online mode.
• If it does not work, perform the below steps.

Check the printer status:

• Click on the Start menu on your computer.
• Open the Control Panel window.
• Select the Hardware and Sounds option from the list.
• Next, choose the Devices and Printers option.
• Now, right-click on your printer's icon and select See what's printing > Printer > Use Printer Offline. Deselect the checkbox beside the Use Printer Offline option. Otherwise, click See what's printing > Printer > Pause Printing. Unselect the checkbox beside the Pause Printing option.
• If there is any copy of your printer's icon, delete it.
• Ensure that you are using the correct printer driver for your Canon PIXMA TR7520 printer.
• Now, check if your printer has returned to the online state. By now, the offline issue should be resolved.
