01. INSTALLATION OF CANON PIXMA TS3150

Canon PIXMA TS3150- FIRST TIME SETUP

Step 1: Opening the box and checking the components

• Remove the packing tapes surrounding the product box and open the box.
• Now, check whether the following components are provided inside the box.
• Canon PXIAM TS-3150 printer
• Power Cord
• FINE ink cartridges (black and color)
• Setup CD
• Getting Started guide
• If yes, follow the below instructions to set up the printer. Otherwise, contact your printer dealer or manufacturer to get the missing component.
• Take the Canon printer and the components out of the box.
• Remove all the packing materials from your printer.

Step 2: Turning on the printer

• Connect your Canon PIXMA TS-3150 printer directly to the power source using its electrical cable.
• Press the button named “ON” on your printer’s control panel to turn it on.
• When you turn on your Canon printer for the first time, it takes approximately 2 minutes to complete the initial boot-up process.
• So, wait patiently for the boot-up process to complete.
• Once it is done, you can go to the next step of the setup process.
• If you find the “E > 0 > 9” message displayed on the printer’s screen, then turn off the printer and turn it on again.

Step 3: Installing the FINE Ink cartridges

• Gently open your printer’s front cover.
• Now, unpack the FINE ink cartridges and install them in their slots.
• Make sure that the Black cartridge is installed on the right slot and the color cartridge in the left slot.
• Close the front cover.

Step 4: Loading paper

• Open the paper support of your printer.
• Move the width guides to the ends.
• Align a stack of plain or photo paper and load it into the support.
• Load paper without exceeding the maximum limit mark.
• Adjust the guides and open the output tray followed by its extension.

Step 5: Connecting the printer to a computer or smartphone

If you wish to connect and use the Canon PIXMA TS-3150 printer on your smartphone or computer, follow the instructions below. Otherwise, press the Stop button on the printer’s control panel to use the printer only for printing and to complete the setup process.

For computer

• Run the Canon PIXMA TS-3150 printer setup file on your computer.
• Click Yes > Start Setup.
• Perform the on-screen instructions to connect and install the printer on your computer.
• Finally, scan or print a test page to check whether the setup is completed successfully.

For Smartphone

• Initially, connect your Canon PIXMA printer and the smartphone (iOS or Android) to the same wireless network. (Note: Scroll down this page to know the correct procedure to connect the Canon PIXMA TS-3150 printer to a Wi-Fi connection).
• Next, install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app on your smartphone.
• Launch the app and follow the on-screen prompts to set up your printer on the smartphone.

Wi-Fi setup via the PUSH method of WPS

• Turn on your Canon PIXMA TS-3150 printer, wireless router, and computer or smartphone.
• Now, check whether the Easy Wireless Connection mode is active on your printer. (Usually, when you turn on the printer for the first time, this mode is activated automatically, and it lasts for 2 hours). To verify it, check if the Wi-Fi icon is flashing on your printer screen. If yes, it means the Easy Wireless Connection mode is active. Otherwise, press and hold the Wi-Fi Direct button for 3 seconds to activate it.
• Locate the button named WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) on your wireless router or access point and press it.

Step 1: Preparing your printer for the setup

• Open the product box.
• Remove the Canon PIXMA TS-3350 printer and its components such as a power cord, setup CD-ROM (for Windows), getting started guide, and safety & important information from the box.
• Now, gently remove the packing materials from the printer.
• Open the front cover and look for the packing materials inside the printer.
• If you find any, remove it and close the cover.
• Similarly, look for the packing materials in all the parts of the printer and remove them.

Step 2: Turning on the printer

• Connect the power cord’s one end to the printer and the opposite end to the outlet.
• Turn on your printer by pressing the ON button on its control panel.
• Wait for the printer to become stable.
• Now, check if the “E > 0 > 9” message is displayed on your printer screen.
• If yes, turn off the printer by pressing the ON button and check whether any packing materials are left inside the printer. If yes, remove them and turn on the printer again.

Step 3: Installing the FINE ink cartridges

• Get the FINE cartridges that are shipped along with your printer.
• Now, gently open the front door of your printer and make sure that no packing materials are present in the cartridge slots.
• Take the FINE cartridges from their package.
• Remove the orange protective tape surrounding the cartridges and install them in their slots.
• Before closing the door, ensure that the cartridges are installed properly.
• Close the door.

Step 4: Loading paper

• Open the paper support of your printer.
• Align and load a stack of plain or photo paper in the support.
• Adjust the guides properly.
• Make sure that the recommended paper type is loaded into the support.
• Open the output tray and its extension.

Step 5: Installing the printer on a computer or smartphone

• Press Stop if you wish to use the printer only for printing and without connecting it to your computer or smartphone.
• Run the printer setup file on your computer or install the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app on your smartphone to use the printer.
• Complete the setup process by following the rest of the instructions.

For Canon PIXMA TS-3350 Wi-fi Setup

Wi-Fi setup using Push method of WPS

• Initially, make sure that the printer and your wireless router are turned on.
• Now, press and hold the Wi-Fi button for a few seconds.
• Within a few seconds, the Wi-Fi icon will start to flash on your printer screen.
• Release the Wi-Fi button and press WPS on your wireless router to connect your printer to the selected Wi-Fi network.
• Now, connect your Windows or Mac computer or iOS or Android to the same network and install the printer software or app on it to finish the Wi-Fi setup.

For Canon PIXMA TS-3350 Troubleshooting

• Restart the printer: This is the quickest and easiest way to fix the Canon PIXMA TS-3350 printer problems.
• Resolve the connectivity issues: Check and connect your printer and the computer to the same network if they are not connected together.
• Install the printer driver: Check to ensure that the latest version of the printer software is installed on your computer.
• Updating the printer firmware: If you’re running outdated firmware, update the latest version of it on your computer.
