Canon PIXMA TS-9120 is a wireless inkjet printer which is an updated version of the PIXMA TS-9020. It comes with six-ink tanks. This printer’s copy and print qualities are excellent and suitable for large photo printing needs. But, its speed is not good.

However, it is suitable for small home and office photo and document printing, copying and scanning needs.

Like Canon PIXMA TS-9120, the Canon PIXMA TS-9020 printer is an all-in-one Wireless printer. But, compared to TS-9120, the TS-9020 printer offers good connectivity options and delivers excellent printouts.

Both these printers share the same features and lack in providing ADF and the fax function.

01. Canon PIXMA TS-9120 Installation

Five simple and easy steps to unbox and set up the Canon PIXMA TS-9120 printer

Step 1: Unpacking the product box and checking the components

  • Unbox your printer.
  • Inside the box, check whether the following components are provided along with the printer: a power cord, ink tanks for setup, setup CD-ROM (Windows), getting started guide, safety & important information. If yes, continue with the setup process. Otherwise, contact your printer dealer or manufacturer to get the missing component.
  • Remove the printer from its outer protective cover.
  • Now, unpack the printer completely by removing the packing materials, tapes and foreign objects from it.
  • After unpacking your printer completely, recycle the packing materials properly.

Step 2: Turning on the printer

  • Connect your Canon PIXMA TS-9120 printer to a power outlet.
  • Raise the control panel.
  • Locate and press the ON button on it.
  • Now, your printer’s power light will start to blink.
  • Wait for the printer to complete its boot-up process.
  • Once it is done, select the device language as per your preferences.
  • Similarly, configure the other settings.

Step 3: Installing the ink tanks

  • Raise your printer’s scanner unit.
  • Unpack the ink tanks.
  • Make sure that the orange caps from the tanks are removed.
  • Now, gently install the unpacked tanks into their slots.
  • Lower the scanner unit of your printer.

Step 4: Loading paper

  • Open the input cassette of your printer.
  • Move the guides to the ends.
  • Fan and load a stack of plain or photo paper into the cassette.
  • Adjust the guides properly.
  • Close the cassette.
  • Open the output cassette of the printer.
  • Press the OK button when the following message “Printing for the print head alignment will start” is displayed on the screen.
  • After your printer prints the alignment page, scan it to complete the alignment process.

Step 5: Installing the printer software

  • Choose the connection type as per your preferences.
  • For computer: Go to the printer’s setup page and download the driver installer file. Run the fi
