01. First Time Installation Of Epson ET 4700

Unboxing and setting up the Epson ET-4700 printer for the first time

Unpacking Printer

  • Initially, unbox your Epson printer package. (Note: If you have already unpacked your printer, then skip this step and go to the next step.)
  • Make sure that you have received your printer and its components without any damage.
  • Now, place the printer on a clean surface.
  • Remove the packing materials/tapes from the printer.
  • After unpacking the printer, place it closer to an electrical outlet.

Filling Ink Tanks

  • Get the ink bottles provided along with your printer.
  • Open the ink tank cover of your printer.
  • Now, unpack all the ink bottles.
  • Fill all the ink tanks one by one.
  • Make sure that the ink tanks are not overfilled. Then, close the ink tank cover.

Turning On Printer

  • Connect your Epson ET printer to an electrical outlet.
  • Now, press the Power button and wait for the printer to complete its initial boot-up process.
  • Once it is done, configure the printer settings such as language, date/time, country, etc., by following the on-screen instructions.
  • After configuring the printer settings, initiate the ink charging process by pressing the Start button.
  • Once the printer completes the ink charging process, go to the next step of the printer setup.

  • Gently, take the printer out of the box.
  • Remove the printer from the packing cover.
  • Now, remove all the packing tapes and materials from the printer.
  • Once you have unpacked your printer, go to the next step of the setup.

Filling Ink Tanks

  • Open the ink tank cover of your printer.
  • Unpack the ink bottles.
  • Fill all the tanks.
  • Make sure that the tanks of your printer are not overfilled.
  • Close the ink tank cover.

Turning On Printer

  • Connect your Epson printer to an electrical outlet using the power cord.
  • Turn on the printer by pressing the Power button on its control panel.
  • Configure the printer settings correctly when prompted.
  • Press the OK button.
  • When your printer prompts you to initiate the ink charging process, click on the Done option. Once the printer completes the ink charging process, load paper into the cassette.

  • Load a stack of paper into the cassette.

  • If you wish to use the fax function on your Epson ET 4750 printer, then connect it to a telephone wall outlet using a phone cord.
