When comparing both multifunctional printers, they hold a large amount of ink for printing. The Epson ET 7750 printer does not support ADF, but the Epson ET 5170 printer does. 01. INSTALLATION of the Epson ET 7750 printer

Unboxing The Epson ET 7750 Printer:

  • Open the box and take the box contents one by one.
  • Next, take the Epson ET 7750 printer out of the box and place it on the flat surface.
  • Remove all the orange protective tapes from the printer.
  • Open the scanner unit and take the protective materials inside the printer. While removing the packing materials, avoid touching the ink tubes inside the printer.
  • Remove the protective cover on the control panel, if needed.
  • Lift the control panel and then open the front cover. Now, take the protective tape from the paper cassette.

How To Fill The Ink Tank?

  • To fill the ink tank first, you have to open the scanner cover.
  • Next, lift the ink tank cover on the right side of your printer.
  • Open the black ink tank cap.
  • Take out the black ink bottle from the package, hold the bottle upright, and remove the bottle cap.
  • Align the top of the ink bottle above the tank inlet nozzle and then slowly raise the bottle to fit onto the ink tank.
  • Do not squeeze the ink bottle; the ink flows directly into the ink tank.
  • Wait till the ink reaches the maximum level. Once the ink reaches the maximum level, remove the ink bottle from the tank and then close the tank cap.
  • Follow the same procedure to fill the rest of the ink tanks.
  • The ink pattern is labeled on the ink tanks. Insert the ink bottles into the respective tanks.
  • Close the ink tank cap and then close the scanner unit.
  • Connect your printer to an electrical outlet using the provided power cable.
  • Next, press the Power button on the control panel to turn on the printer, and then press Start for 3 seconds to start the ink charging process.
  • Once the in charge is complete, load the paper into the printer.

Steps To Load the Paper:

  • To load the paper into cassette 1, lift the control panel and lower the front cover.
  • Pull the paper cassette out from the printer.
  • Slide the side edge guides and the front paper guide to the end of the paper cassette.
  • Load a paper stack into the cassette and adjust the paper guides against the paper stack. Make sure that the printing side is facing down.
  • Now, insert the cassette into the printer until it stops.
  • Finally, pull the output tray and then lower the control panel.

Steps To Download And Install The Printer Drivers:

  • Insert the supplied Setup CD into the CD drive of the computer; if the computer does not support the CD drive, follow these steps to download and install the driver.
  • Launch the default web browser and then go to the official Epson support page.
  • On the Home page, click SUPPORT > PRINTERS > ALL-IN-ONE > ET SERIES; Scroll down and select your printer from the list.
  • On the next page, under the Download tab, click Drivers and Utilities Combo Package Installer. Click Download.
  • After completing the download, run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Epson printer setup on the computer.

02. Installation of the Epson ET 5170 Printer

Unboxing the Epson ET 5170 Printer:

  • Open the printer box and take all the box contents.
  • Next, take the Epson ET 5170 printer out of the box and place it on the table.
  • Remove all protective tapes from all the sides of the printer.
  • Lift the printer cover and push it until it locks in the open position.
  • Remove all protective materials and tapes inside the printer. Don’t touch the flat cable inside the printer.
  • Once all the materials are removed, close the printer cover.

Steps To Fill The Ink Tanks:

  • First, open the ink tank cover and then open the ink tank cap on the right side of the printer.
  • Unpack the ink bottle from the package and remove the bottle cap.
  • Align the ink bottle above the filling port.
  • Do not squeeze the ink bottle. Wait until the ink reaches the maximum level, and then remove the ink bottle from the filing port.
  • Close the tank cap.
  • Repeat the same steps for each ink tank
  • The ink colors are labeled on the ink tanks, from left to right (Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow). You can follow this order to fill the ink tanks.
  • Now, connect one end of the supplied power cord to the Epson printer AC inlet and the other end to the electrical socket.
  • Next, press the Power button on the control panel to turn on the Epson printer and follow the on-screen instructions to charge the ink.
  • Wait until the ink charging is completed; it takes about 11 minutes.
  • Thus, the steps to fill the ink tanks are completed.

How To Load Paper?

  • Make sure that the ink charging process is completed.
  • Open the cassette cover and then pull the cassette until it stops.
  • Slide the side edge guides to the end of the cassette.
  • Load a paper stack into the cassette with the printing side face down and then adjust the side edge guides to hold the edges of the paper stack.
  • Push the cassette completely into the printer and then close the cassette cover.
  • The paper loading steps are now complete.

Steps To Install The Drivers:

  • Insert the given Setup CD into the CD drive of your computer and double click the setup file.
  • Follow the computer screen instructions to complete the printer driver installation.
  • If your computer does not support a CD drive, open the default browser and then go to the official Epson support website.
  • Download and install the latest printer drivers.
