01. First Time Installation Of Epson WF 7710

Epson WF 7710 Installation

First time setup for the Epson WF 7710 printer:

Unboxing Printer:

  • Start by taking out the printer from the package.
  • You will get the following supplies with the Epson WF 7710 printer.
  • Power cord
  • User guide
  • CD-ROM
  • Ink cartridges
  • Take out the supplies from the box and keep them aside for later use.
  • Remove the protective tapes and covers from the printer.
  • Turn on your printer after connecting it to an electrical outlet using the provided power cord.
  • Raise the control panel and select your language, country, date, and time on the touchscreen LCD.

Installing Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the scanner unit and then the ink cartridge cover.
  • Gently shake the ink cartridges before you unpack them.
  • Remove the yellow protective tapes from each cartridge after taking them out of the package.
  • Insert each cartridge into the holder and press it until you hear the click sound.
  • Close the ink cartridge cover and then the scanner unit.

Loading Print Media:

  • After charging ink, pull the paper cassette out of the printer.
  • Open the paper cassette cover and slide the paper edge guides all the way out.
  • Fan a paper stack and load it into the cassette.
  • Adjust the paper stack with the paper guides.
  • Close the paper cassette cover and push the cassette into the printer.
  • On the touchscreen LCD, select the correct paper settings.

Fax Setup:

  • The Fax setup is optional. If you need to fax, connect one end of a telephone line cord to your printer's LINE port and the other end to a telephone wall jack.
  • On the touchscreen LCD, tap Proceed to set up the fax.

  • First, take out the printer from the package.
  • Next, take out the following supplies from the box.

  • Ink cartridges
  • Keep the supplies aside for later use.
  • Remove the protective tapes from the outside and inside of the printer.
  • Connect your Epson printer to an electrical outlet using the provided power cord.
  • Raise the control panel and press the Power button to turn on the printer.
  • Choose your language, country, date, and time on the LCD.

Installing the ink cartridges:

  • Lift the scanner unit and open the ink cartridge cover.
  • Shake the ink cartridges before you unpack them.
  • After unpacking, remove the yellow tapes from the cartridges.
  • Insert each ink cartridge into the slot and push all the cartridges down until you hear the click sound.
  • Close the ink cartridge cover and then the scanner unit.

Loading print media:

  • Once you have completed charging ink on your printer, pull out the paper cassette.
  • Slide apart the paper guides.
  • Load a stack of legal plain paper into the cassette.
  • Adjust the paper stack with the paper edge guides.
  • Refix the paper cassette into the printer and set the correct paper settings on the LCD.

Fax setup:

  • If you wish to add the fax function to your printer, make sure that you have a telephone line cord handy.
  • Connect your printer's LINE port to a telephone wall jack using the telephone line cord.
  • Tap Proceed on the touchscreen LCD to set up the fax.

You have now completed half of the printer setup. The setup continues from the other end (computer) through software installation.

If you don't have a software installation CD-ROM or your computer doesn't support the CD-ROM that came with your printer, download the printer driver by following these steps.

  • On your computer, launch a browser application.
  • Visit the official Epson site.

  • Expand the Downloads tab and choose your OS version from the Operating System drop-down menu if it is not detected automatically.
