Five easy and simple steps to unpack and set up your HP DeskJet 2331 printer

As the first step of the HP DeskJet 2331 setup, unpack the printer completely. After doing it, turn on the printer, and install the ink cartridges & load paper in the tray. Align the ink cartridges and finally install the printer software to finish the setup process.

Step 1: Unpacking the printer

  • Remove the printer from the packing cover and place it on a table.
  • Now, gently remove the blue or orange protective tapes from the important parts of your printer.
  • When removing the packing cover from the scanner glass, make sure that it is removed carefully.
  • After removing all the protective sheets, packing materials and foreign objects from the printer, place it closer to a power outlet.

Step 2: Turning on the printer

  • To turn on your HP DeskJet 2331 printer, first, you have to connect it to an active power outlet.
  • Get the power cord of your printer.
  • Plug the cord’s one end to your printer’s Power port and the other end of the cord to the outlet.

If you have bought the new HP DeskJet 2335 printer recently and looking for a simple & easy procedure to set it up, follow the step-by-step instructions given below.

Restore the printer settings to default if you’re looking to set up the already used printer. After restoring the settings, begin the setup process from step 3 given below.

Step 1: Unpacking the printer

  • Always begin with the unpacking process if you’re going to set up the new printer for the first time.
  • Remove the packing materials, tapes and foreign objects from your printer.
  • Make sure that the packing materials are removed carefully and properly from the printer.
  • After unpacking your printer completely, place it on a neat surface and go to the next step of the setup process.
  • Make sure to recycle the packing materials properly.

Step 2: Switching on the printer

  • Turn on the printer to begin the setup process.
  • Using the power cord, connect the printer directly to an active power outlet. (Note: Avoid using the surge protector or an external adapter for the connectivity process.)
  • Now, press the Power button on the printer’s operational panel.

  • Make sure that the paper is not overloaded in the tray.
  • Adjust the width guides of the tray properly.
  • Open the output tray extension of your printer.
  • Now, your printer will start to print its alignment page.
  • Once it is printed, scan it.
  • To do so, load the alignment page with its print-side facing down the scanner glass. Press the Start Color Scan or Start Black Scan button. Now, your will start to scan the placed document.

  • Insert the setup CD into your computer and open the printer driver file on it.
