01. INSTALLATION OF HP ENVY PRO 6420:

Firstly, unpack the printer and remove all the packing materials and accessories out of the box. Set the printer in a stable place where there is a strong Wi-Fi signal. Turn on the printer and complete the initial printer setup. Next, load paper into the paper tray and ink cartridges into the cartridge slots. Make sure that you have installed the ink cartridge in the right way. Once the initial setup is completed, you can connect your printer to a computer using a USB cable or over a network.

WPS setup method

This will be the easiest method to set up your printer to a wireless network.

• Power on the HP printer.
• Press the Wireless and Power buttons for three seconds.
• Now, press the WPS button at the rear of your router.
• When the HP printer is connected to the network, the blue wireless light on the printer turns solid.
• Once you establish the connection between your printer and the router, download the printer driver on your computer.
• Run the downloaded driver file.
• Implement the instruction on the screen and complete the driver installation.
• During the installation process, you will be asked to choose the connection type. Make sure to select the Wireless connection method.

One of the most common printer issue users face is a paper jam. We will see how to clear a paper jam in your HP Envy Pro 6420.

Clearing the jammed paper from the paper tray:

• Take out the paper loaded into the paper tray.
• Pull the jammed paper.
• Use a flashlight to ensure there is no jammed paper or foreign object in the paper path.
• If you find any, remove them immediately.
• Press the Cancel button. Your printer will try to clear the jammed paper automatically.

Clearing the jammed paper from the output tray:

• Remove the paper from the output tray.
• Pull out any jammed paper inside the output tray.
• Use a light to make sure that there is no paper or other objects are left in the paper path.
• If you find any paper or foreign objects, remove them gently with both hands.

Clearing a paper jam from the cartridge area:

• Press the Cancel button on the printer control panel.
• Now, your printer will try to clear the paper jam by itself.
• If the printer couldn't do that, try to remove the jammed paper manually.
• Lift the cartridge access door.
• Wait until the carriage stops moving.
• Turn off your HP printer and disconnect the power cord.
• Use a flashlight to check if any paper or objects are stuck in the cartridge access area.

02. INSTALLATION OF HP ENVY PRO 6432:

Take the printer out from the package. Ensure that there is no physical damage (even a scratch) to the printer. If there is physical damage, contact the manufacturer and report the issue immediately. Remove all the packing material in and out of the printer. Load the paper, install ink cartridge, and align the print head. Make sure not to damage the printer when unboxing it.Once everything is set, connect the printer to your computer and start printing. Let us see how to set up HP Envy Pro 6432.

Connecting the printer using the HP Smart application

If you are a Windows user, follow the steps in the given order.

• Turn on your printer.
• Download the HP Smart app from the official HP site.
• Install the application.
• Locate the Wireless button on the rear of the printer. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds.
• Note: Complete the network setup within 2 hours, or you have to start the setup process from the beginning.
• Open the HP Smart app.
• Click the + sign.
• Choose your printer model and click Continue.
• Follow the instructions on the app.
• When prompted to enter the WEP or WPA key, input the password or key.
• Now, your printer starts establishing a connection with your computer.
• When finished, click Continue.
• Click Exit Setup.

To confirm this, check whether the blue wireless light on the control panel turns solid.

Troubleshooting

HP ENVY PRO 6432:

For Windows users:

• Check if there is paper loaded into the paper tray.

Go to Start --> Windows System --> Control panel --> Hardware and Sound --> View devices and printers.

Go to the Start menu.

Choose Windows System.

Select Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> View devices and printers.

• Restart the print spooler service.

Open the Start menu.

Click Windows Administrative Tools.

Select Services.

Click Print Spooler --> Properties.

On the General tab, select Automatic.

If the Print Spooler service is not currently running, click Start under Service Status.

Click OK.

• Clear the print queue on your system and try to print.
• Restart the computer.
