INSTALLATION

01INSTALLATION-HP ENVY 5530

Let’s unbox the printer

  • Take out the printer from the package.
  • Remove the protective tapes around the printer.
  • Next, open the ink cartridge access door and remove the packing materials.
  • Close the cartridge access door and check the paper tray for any packing materials. If there are any, remove them.

 

Let’s power on the printer

  • Take one end of the provided power cable and connect it to your printer.
  • Connect the other end of the power cable to an electrical outlet.
  • Press the Power button and then wait for the printer to become ready.
  • On the touchscreen control panel, select your preferences and confirm them by selecting Yes.
  • Touch Setup and proceed to install the cartridges.

 

Let’s install the cartridges

  • With the printer turned on, open the scanner lid.
  • Next, open the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to become silent.
  • Take out the cartridges from the package.
  • Lift the cartridge lid and remove the protective seals from the cartridges.
  • Insert the black ink cartridge into the right-side slot and the color ink cartridge into the left.
  • Secure the cartridges with the cartridge lid.
  • Close the cartridge access door and lower the scanner lid.

 

Let’s insert a few plain sheets into the tray

  • Open the paper input tray door and extend the paper input tray.
  • Slide apart the paper width guides.
  • Fan a paper stack and insert it into the tray.
  • Adjust the paper stack using the paper width guides and push the tray back into the printer.
  • Pull out the tray extender and touch OK on the control panel.

 

Let’s install the printer software

  • Power on the HP printer and wait for it to become silent and ready.
  • Set your preferences on the touchscreen panel, touch OK to confirm the choices, and proceed to install the cartridges.

 

Let’s install the cartridges

  • Open the scanner lid and the cartridge access door.
  • Wait for the carriage to become idle.
  • Unpack the cartridges and remove the protective tapes from them.
  • Open the cartridge lid in the carriage.
