01. First Time Installation Of Samsung ML 1660

Unboxing and setting up the Samsung ML-1660 printer for the first time

  • If you’re going to set up your Samsung ML-1660 printer for the first time, then make sure that it is unpacked completely.
  • After unpacking the printer, install the toner cartridge.
  • To do so, get the starter toner cartridge provided along with the product box.
  • Now, gently open the top cover of the printer. (Note: Make sure that your printer’s output supply cover is closed).
  • Unpack the toner cartridge completely.
  • Shake the unpacked cartridge a few times and insert it into its slot.
  • Make sure that the starter toner cartridge is installed properly on the printer.
  • Close the top cover of your printer.
  • Now, take the paper cassette out of the printer.
  • Get a stack of paper that you wish to use for printing.
  • Fan the edges of the paper properly.
  • Align the guides based on the paper type that you’re loading.
  • Now, load the paper in the cassette and adjust the guides correctly.
  • Insert the cassette back into the printer.
  • Connect the power cord between the printer and an electrical outlet.
  • Once your printer becomes stable, print a configuration sheet to check whether your printer is working properly.
  • Next, hold down the Print Screen button for 10 seconds. If the printer prints the configuration page successfully, go to the next step of the setup. Otherwise, re-perform the initial setup.
